Quills of Desire tells the story of an intelligent but temperamental man whose behaviour causes his failure to obtain the educational documents he needs to fulfil his ambitions. Wiza is faced with the alternatives of urban poverty or a return to village life with his family.
Binwell Sinyangwe was born in the Zambian Copperbelt in 1956 and went to school in the Northern Province. He gained a degree in Economics from the Academy of Economic Studies in Bucharest, Romania. He also wrote A Cowrie of Hope which was published in the Heinemann African Writers Series in 2000 and republished by Weaver Press of Zimbabwe in 2007.
